I am going to start a new photography project this week. My project is going to be a year of weekly photographs of my wife Courtney. I want to use it as a test bed for new ideas and experimentation. Some weeks the photo will be fairly normal, and others it will be pretty extreme. I want to experiment with artificial lighting, textures, vintage processes, and styles. I really want to stretch myself and create something unique over the course of a year. And as you can see my wife is absolutely beautiful so she will make an amazing muse for me to experiment with.

For this first shot of my project I wanted to something more natural. We had just a few minutes of light left so we drove up the road to a field are and shot some pictures. She was wearing a pretty cool outfit that unfortunately you can’t see, but I might post some more shots later. I processed the photo in RadLab and Lightroom 3 to give it more of a vintage look and really bring out some nice warm skin tones.
