My Story

I once read a book called A Million Miles in a Thousand Years by a guy named Donald Miller. The premise of that book was that the elements that make a good story are the same elements that make a good life. That book changed my life and I now continually try to tell a great story in how I live. This love of story is why I fell in love with portrait and wedding photography. I get to capture some of the most important chapters in peoples lives. I get to be a part of telling their story! I can’t imagine doing anything better.

For me a photograph is all about feeling. I am continually trying to improve my technical skill and proficiency, but even the most perfectly exposed and framed shot is nothing if it has no feeling. The best pictures are like a great song, they bring an emotion and memory to your soul that is hard to explain but is unmistakeable.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ and believe that he was the best example of morality and servanthood that our world has ever seen. I strive for this every day.

I am a husband to the most beautiful girl ever. She is my sidekick in our story, my biggest fan, and she encourages me to grow into a better person everyday. She is training to be a Chiropractor and wants to change the world. I think she will.

I have a slight addiction to coffee, books, modern architecture, films and music. I also have the coolest dog in the world.
